About Us

Who is EM-Living?

When we choose a material, we are transforming a space. And with that, we are generating an experience, activating senses… through color, texture, what it transmits to us.

EM-Living promotes this experience.

We are guided by a responsible approach, grounded in clear commitments to our partners, collaborators, and the planet. We actively collaborate in identifying integrated solutions for the execution of architectural projects through a strong network of partnerships.

Sustainability

We prioritize products of sustainable forest origin and strictly adhere to FSC® (C155685) and PEFC (PEFC/15-31-147) standards, ensuring that EM-Living is not directly or indirectly involved in:

  • Illegal logging or trade
  • Violation of human or traditional rights related to forestry operations
  • Destruction of high conservation value areas
  • Significant conversion of forests to plantations or non-forest land use
  • Use of genetically modified organisms
  • Violations of the ILO Core Conventions

Ethics & Rights

We also ensure that no material proven to originate from illegal sources is placed on the market.

We are committed to promoting the international expansion and visibility of the brands we represent, while guaranteeing safe and fair working conditions for our team. We value performance, satisfaction, and engagement among our employees.

  • Freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining
  • The elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labor
  • The effective abolition of child labor
  • The elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation

To demonstrate compliance with these principles, we conduct regular self-assessments based on FSC®’s basic labor requirements and make the results available.

Every day we touch homes and objects and, often without much awareness, we fail to realize that touch is one of the most fascinating senses in our perception of architecture. Placing a hand on a railing or stepping on an uneven floor are experiences where our body comes into contact with the body of the building. Often, the hand that holds, caresses, pushes, and restrains is one of the best vehicles for experiencing and understanding a given space.

Finnish architect Juhani Pallasmaa said, ‘the door handle is the handshake of the building’, and in fact, the firmness with which it receives us, the way it allows itself to be held or guides our hand, reassures us of the solidity of the construction and also of the ‘honesty’ and ‘character’ of the building itself.

  • A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was created for the bliss of souls like mine. I am so happy.

  • I should be incapable of drawing a single stroke at the present moment; and yet I feel that I never was a greater artist than now. When, while the lovely valley teems with vapour around me, and the meridian sun strikes the upper surface of the impenetrable foliage of my trees.

  • I throw myself down among the tall grass by the trickling stream; and, as I lie close to the earth, a thousand unknown plants are noticed by me: when I hear the buzz of the little world among the stalks, and grow familiar. who formed us in his own image, and the breath.
